Best performing markets for rental yields

Research by Lomond Group released today identifies the top areas in the UK for investors to buy based on rental yield.

It is interesting to note that most areas within the UK have seen growth in yield over the past 12 months. East of England average rises by 10% from 3.8% to 4.2% March 2023 versus March 2024. The average asking rent across the East of England now stands at a quite staggering £1,321 per calendar month.

The report indicates that average asking prices during the 12 month period actually dropped slightly from £382,000 down to £379,00. Whilst this might surprise many, the property market was difficult in certain quarters within 2023, although the year finished strongly and continues to grow to date in 2024.
