Leadership update at Ashtons
I am pleased to share an important leadership update at Ashtons, as we continue to strengthen our position as Hertfordshire’s leading independent estate agent and the region’s highest selling property agency.
Firstly, I’m delighted to announce the promotion of Nick Wearmouth from Sales Director to Managing Director.
Nick’s journey with Ashtons has been exceptional. He joined the business nearly 25 years ago starting in our sales team in Welwyn Garden City and has progressed through the organisation, building a deep understanding of the Hertfordshire property market.
A proven track record
In 2020, Nick was appointed Sales Director, taking responsibility for all second-hand residential sales and lettings. Since then, he has played a key role in delivering consistent growth and performance across the business.
His promotion to Managing Director reflects not only his leadership and commercial success, but also the trust he has earned from both clients and colleagues. Nick leads with integrity, consistency, and a genuine respect for people, values that are central to everything we stand for.
Continuing our growth journey
Alongside this, I will be stepping into the role of Group CEO. My focus will be on long-term strategy, vision, and overall performance as we begin the next phase of our five-year plan, which is to grow the business by 50%. This next chapter reinforces our commitment to remaining a fully independent estate agent in Hertfordshire allowing us to stay agile, client-focused, and deeply connected to the local market.
