The Role
As we look to capitalise on our current market position as the number one agency in Hertfordshire who sell more homes in the AL postcodes than any other business, we are actively looking to connect with talented senior valuers / listers across Hertfordshire, who may be interested in working in any of our 6-office locations.
Across Hertfordshire we’re proud to be able to say we sell 1-in-every 10 homes priced over £1,000,000. So, it goes without saying that our future valuer will need to be both comfortable and able to showcase a good track record of operating in higher demographic markets.
We do things a little differently here at Ashtons and have become known for our ‘out of box thinking’ and pioneering ideas to positively shape the journey our clients undertake. So, you will have to embrace change in a positive way, for example as a valuer in our business, 80% of your time should be doing what you do best – Listing, offering valuable market insights and tailored sales strategies to your clients. We have centralised departments to support you with all your sales progression, viewings and general inbound property enquiries and you will even have the ability to partner with one of our dedicated office-based associates to manage your clients’ expectations together at every turn.
Your primary responsibility will include undertaking a multiple number of market appraisals every day, following these diligently through the marketing phase until they are handed over to sales management team, post-sale agreed.
Negotiation is central to everything that we do, and you will be required to work with intelligent clients and purchasers, building trusted relationships at every opportunity. We expect every client we connect with to enjoy a positive experience of Ashtons, with total peace of mind we will be there with them every step of the way on their property journey.
Applicant’s Skillset
You will possess 6+ years’ experience in estate agency and at least 4 years (as a minimum) valuing experience.
A positive, energetic ‘can do’ approach to your day-to-date tasks
You will possess and able to demonstrate a commercial outlook and the ability to think outside the box
Previous experience in demonstrating a winning mentality and increasing market share will be required
The ability to thrive in a busy office environment is essential
You will need to be able to work under pressure, whilst maintaining attention to detail, be a clear problem solver and have an engaging and charismatic personality
Excellent geographic knowledge of Hertfordshire
Persuasive and strong negotiation skills

Monday-Friday 8.30am – 6.00pm
1-in-4 Saturdays 9.00am to 5.00pm
