This week we visited Chiswell Green, a popular village with a strong sense of identity, located just two miles south of St Albans. This attractive suburb has a whole host of fantastic local amenities, including shops, cafes, excellent schools and the beautiful, grade II listed The Three Hammers pub located right at its heart.
Chiswell Green is also home to Greenwood Park, recognised as one of the UK’s very best green spaces. This picturesque recreation area includes a well-used playground, a community centre, café, tennis courts, a cycle path, football and cricket pitches as well as woodland walks and wildflower meadows, offering beautiful scenery and glimpses into Hertfordshire wildlife.
