Celebrating community and a successful season at Redbourn Cricket Club

A brilliant evening on Redbourn Common

Redbourn Cricket Club recently held their annual end of season awards dinner and dance in a marquee on the beautiful Redbourn Common, and what a brilliant evening it was!

Celebrating teamwork and community

As both a club sponsor through Ashtons and a player, it was wonderful to celebrate not just individual achievements, but the teamwork and community spirit that make this club so special. I was joined by Samantha Voss from Ashwell Mortgage Services, and together we enjoyed an evening filled with laughter, shared memories and recognition for everyone’s contributions over the season.

Personal highlights

On a personal note, I was incredibly proud to be named Captain’s Player of the Season for Redbourn’s 5th Eleven. Awards like this are never about one person alone, they reflect the support, encouragement and camaraderie of the whole team, both on and off the field.

Redbourn Cricket Club has a long and proud history, with organised cricket played on Redbourn Common as far back as the 17th century and the club itself established around 1823. Being part of such a historic and community-focused club is truly special.

Supporting a club at the heart of the community

At Ashtons, we’re proud to support a club that brings people together, creates lasting friendships and embodies teamwork both on and off the pitch. The season may now be over, but the community spirit will continue to thrive until the next one.
