Marking a milestone
Recently, we celebrated 10 years of Ashtons Land & New Homes at the Old Palace, Hatfield House. Standing in a building with so much history felt particularly fitting. Originally built around 1480, the Old Palace was once home to the young Elizabeth I and the place where she first gathered her Council of State after becoming Queen in 1558.
Celebrating our own achievements in a hall that has seen centuries of stories gave the afternoon a real sense of reflection. Just as the Old Palace has stood the test of time, our Land & New Homes team has grown, adapted, and built something enduring. Sharing this moment with clients, colleagues, and partners in such surroundings reminded us what our journey has always been about: people, relationships, and legacy.

The value of connection
In an age where so much of our communication happens online, the afternoon was a reminder of the value of coming together in person. Conversations flowed, stories were shared, and new connections were made. That sense of community has been at the heart of everything we’ve achieved over the last decade.

A decade of results
The numbers themselves tell a powerful story: involvement in more than 140 sites, nearly 3,000 plots listed, and in 2024 alone, selling one in four new homes in Hertfordshire, achieving more than double the sales of our nearest competitor. But behind every statistic are the strong, long-term relationships we’ve built with clients, developers and partners across the region.
None of this would have been possible without the hard work, passion, and expertise of our Land & New Homes team. Their commitment over the years has shaped us into the market leader we are today. To the team: thank you. This success is yours to share and celebrate.

Looking ahead
A decade of excellence is a remarkable achievement, but we’re not stopping here. With the same energy, innovation and dedication, we’re excited for what the next 10 years will bring. Here’s to the future of Land & New Homes at Ashtons and to the clients, partners and colleagues who continue to make it possible.
