Note from our Vendor

Contessa Riding Centre has been our family home since 1968; at that time, we purchased The Gables and then subsequently secured other land around us that now is all part of the Contessa estate. We have many happy memories of our time in our own little valley and having built up the riding centre into an internationally renowned facility. But all good things must come to an end, and as we decided to downsize the centre in 2022 after having been awarded the Best Riding School in the United Kingdom, it seemed an appropriate time to do this. We would love somebody to be able to take the centre on and let it continue to serve the Equestrian world especially for our local area. We wish whoever does eventually get it all the best, and hope they enjoy it as much as we did, but for us, it will be a very sad day when it comes.
