About Ashwell Mortgage Services:

Ashwell Mortgage Services sits within the Ashtons group. Ashwell aim to make the homebuying process as simple as possible. We purely specialise in mortgages and do it brilliantly – day in, day out. Dealing with all major UK lenders, we will always source the best solution. We also offer our clients ancillary property or mortgage related products such as buildings & contents and mortgage protection

Having launched the business in June 2020, we have seen huge demand in assisting customers secure the mortgages they need, as a result we are now in position to recruit additional support for our Mortgage Advisor. In 2021, we sold in excess of 700 properties across our key Hertfordshire markets

We have over 5500 buyers register with us annually. We have also invested in a Client Services Department which processes over 2500 quotes per year in relation to ancillary services we offer, such as removals, conveyancing, solicitors and of course Mortgages!

This position would be based at our head office in Harpenden.

Key Duties:

  • Liaising with Clients, Mortgage Advisers, Lenders, Solicitors and Estate Agents.
  • Sell the benefits of using Ashwell
  • Encourage lead generation from branch staff
  • Calling self-generated opportunities from database
  • Calling clients following leads from branches
  • Build great relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Accurate data input.
  • Supporting mortgage consultant with mortgage cases as required.
  • Review cases at sign-up stage against compliance quick guide.
  • Processing of new applications in preparation for the lenders/underwriters.
  • Distribution of Mortgage offers and tracking cases through to completion.
  • Claim pro-curation fees
  • Photocopy, scan and file appropriate documents as needed, maintaining accurate records.
  • Book appointments for advisor
  • Comply with FCA regulations
  • Comply with company standards and policies, e.g. Data Protection, Financial Crime, Treating. Customers Fairly, Complaints Procedure etc.
  • Diarise and make follow up calls
  • Preparing and maintaining the client file: taking fact-finding information, receiving and uploading documents to the case, updating the case notes, helping the advisor to ascertain soft facts
  • Organising recommendations: carrying out research as per the advisor’s request, preparing research and KFI’s for the advisor to sign off

Training and progression:

  • Full in house and external training provided
  • C11 paraplanner qualification encouraged
  • CeMAP qualification encouraged
  • Continual professional development plan in place

Remuneration:

£25,000 per annum based on a 42.5 hour week

Additional Benefits Package (Including 28 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays, external 1-2-1 business coaching, competitions, company parties, Monthly lunches, end of month drinks provided by the business

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:30am – 6.00pm with an hour for lunch

NB : Hours are negotiable for the right candidate.
