The Role

We are looking for an articulate, enthusiastic and experienced agent to join our team based in St Albans. This position in particular was our highest fee earning desk in 2021

Our St Albans office covers outlying villages and central locations around St Albans, where property values typically range from £500,000-£3,000,000.  The area is one of high demand, mainly from commuters moving out of London and local professionals.  Property styles vary considerably, making the role both interesting and challenging.

St Albans is one of our flagship offices, which has undergone a £250,000 refurbishment in recent years. We are one of the top sales agents in the area.

Your primary responsibility is business generation, prospecting and sourcing new clients and working from our historic database of past clientele.  You’ll undertake multiple numbers of market appraisals every day, follow these diligently through the marketing phase until they are handed over to sales management, post-sale agreed.

Negotiation is central to everything that we do and you will be required to work with intelligent clients and purchasers, building trusted relationships at every opportunity. We expect every client we connect with to enjoy a positive experience of Ashtons, with total peace of mind we will be there with them every step of the way on their property journey.

You will also undertake some administrative tasks, to ensure the office runs smoothly and all fee earning opportunities are maximised.

You will agree monthly personal sales and instruction targets with your Director that work in tandem with the office budget.  Regular team meetings take place and you will be expected to contribute positively to these.

Applicant’s Skillset

  • You will possess 6+ years’ experience in estate agency and certainly 3 years (as a minimum) valuing experience.
  • A positive, energetic ‘can do’ approach is a pre-requisite
  • You will possess and able to demonstrate a commercial outlook and the ability to think outside the box
  • Previous experience in demonstrating a winning mentality and increasing market share will be required
  • The ability to thrive in a busy office environment is essential
  • You will need to be able to work under pressure, whilst maintaining attention to detail, be a clear problem solver and have an engaging and charismatic personality
  • Previous experience using the IT system “Reapit” is desired but not essential

Monday-Friday 08:30am – 6.00pm

1-in-4 Saturday 9.00am – 5.00pm
